Dr. Mona Yadav, President and Director

Mona is a social activist, educator, and psychologist with a PhD in psychology. She designs and facilitates workshops on gender, sexuality, reproductive health, and mental health for diverse groups, including adolescents, parents, teachers, and social activists. She also leads social media communications, using storytelling to highlight Sahas’ work

Purvi Yadav, Executive Director

Purvi is a feminist, activist, and journalist. She oversees cross-sectoral collaborations and communications across India. A TEDx speaker, her leadership is driven by her interests in international politics, gender, and sexuality.

Sarla Devi, Program Lead, Sahasi Girls Program

Sarla co-leads programs addressing gender issues and reproductive health in urban and rural India. She works on the Sahasi Girls program in Khushipura, ensuring girls have access to education, health, sports, and life skill training. As a rural woman leader, she is a role model and inspires community work.

Virendra Singh, Secretary

Secretary at Sahas, Virendra manages the organization’s registration and infrastructure. A retired Army personnel with 30 years of experience in the Armed Educational Corps, he has also worked as an administrative in-charge in various educational institutions.

Coach

UVINIE LUBECKI

Uvinie Lubecki is the founder and CEO of Leading Through Connection, an organization advancing compassionate leadership. It was in 2017, that our co-founder, Mona Yadav was selected for the Dalai Lama fellowship leadership program. Uvinie coached and mentored Mona’s work at Sahas Foundation in terms of visioning, reflecting on her inner values and integrating them into the gender work. She has been our coach since then and continually supports our work.

‘Summer Interns 2024’

Shujat Ali is a third-year B.tech student at IIT Mandi from Kargil, Ladakh. He conceptualized and created an Impact report for the Sahas Foundation. He led a collaboration with IAOL Ladakh, to organize a Mental health workshop with the youth of Ladakh. He has also done incredible research work on ‘Does National Education Policy 2020 address gender inequality in Education.’ He also engaged in creating and updating the website for the organization.
Mohani is pursuing an Integrated MA in History at the University of Hyderabad from Barmer, Rajasthan. She did an important research work on ‘Relevance of Education for Girls in India.’ She also facilitated focus group discussions online and on the field of ‘Understanding and Challenging gender-based violence in India’ with the women and girls of Rajasthan and Hyderabad.
Ibtesaam is pursuing a BA LLB from Dr BR Ambedkar College. She conceptualized and framed the ‘Girls and Children Protection Policy’ for the Sahas Foundation. She has written a research paper on
‘From Challenges to Change: Paving the Way for Working Women’s Success’ as part of her internship.
Nikhil is pursuing a degree in law from Jammu University. He conceptualized and framed HR policy for the Sahas Foundation keeping our core values in the centre. He also did extensive research on ‘Challenges faced by young people in Jammu and possible solutions.’

He also did extensive research on the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
