‘Summer Interns 2024’

Shujat Ali is a third-year B.tech student at IIT Mandi from Kargil, Ladakh. He conceptualized and created an Impact report for the Sahas Foundation. He led a collaboration with IAOL Ladakh, to organize a Mental health workshop with the youth of Ladakh.
He has also done incredible research work on ‘Does National Education Policy 2020 address gender inequality in Education.’
He also engaged in creating and updating the website for the organization.
Mohani is pursuing an Integrated MA in History at the University of Hyderabad from Barmer, Rajasthan. She did an important research work on ‘Relevance of Education for Girls in India.’ She also facilitated focus group discussions online and on the field on ‘Understanding and Challenging gender-based violence in India’ with the women and girls of Rajasthan and Hyderabad.
Ibtesaam is pursuing a BA LLB from Dr BR Ambedkar College. She conceptualized and framed the ‘Girls and Children Protection Policy’ for the Sahas Foundation. She has written a research paper on ‘From Challenges to Change: Paving the Way for Working Women’s Success’ as part of
her internship.
Nikhil is pursuing a degree in law from Jammu University. He conceptualized and framed HR policy for the Sahas Foundation keeping our core values in the centre. He also did extensive research on ‘Challenges faced by young people in Jammu and possible solutions.’
Sanjana is pursuing Law from Christ (Deemed to be University), Pune. She
conceptualized and framed the POSH and Non-discrimination Policy
for Sahas. She also conducted a learning session for Sahas team
on POSH policy.
Rajkumar is a first-year engineering student at the University of Mumbai. He
wrote many articles including ‘Understanding Gender from Boy’s Perspective’, Film Review of Laapata Ladies and ‘Gender Norms and Stereotypes in Engineering’.
Muneeb is pursuing Law from IMS UNISON UNIVERSITY, Dehradun. He designed strategies for youth engagement at Sahas. He also did extensive research on the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
